I’m back, at least for now, with an outdoor summer table! I thought it was time to bring the Franciscan “Ivy” outside on the porch since everything is so nice and green now.
I have kept a lot of the same organic elements from the last few tables I have done and I think they work so beautifully outside…
Woven chargers combined with Mikasa “Italian Countryside” dinner plates are the foundation for the Franciscan “Ivy” so popular on the “I Love Lucy’ show.
Mikasa “Italian Countryside” flatware, Fostoria “Argus” green glassware, and paisley napkins I made last year…
Remember this wood centerpiece from last fall? The single candle holders are made from birch with a little moss on top. The ferns and ivy are from the woods here…
My dad made this little airplane windmill for me a couple years ago and I finally got around to painting it red.
There is nothing better than dining on the porch enjoying the sounds of a cool, mountain creek…
I hope you are enjoying your summer! We have been so busy that blogging is taking a back seat! We are so close to being finished with the CD, and taking new opportunities for ministry. We’ll be starting an outreach to homeless veterans next month and are really excited about that. In the meantime, we are so thankful to have our little piece of God’s creation to enjoy and take care of:-) I am certainly missing all of you:-)
I’ll be joining “Tablescape Thursday” over at “Between Naps on the Porch” so be sure to go by there!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Anita
I am so glad you came back, even if it is a quick visit! I've missed visiting your blog. Of course, your outdoor setting is beautiful. I am looking forward to your CD. xo,
Glad you came back and gave us an update! I missed you the past several weeks! Your outdoor tablescape is lovely and the setting is beautiful!
Hi Anita, I have been wondering where you were. I love your outdoor table setting. I always think of that centerpiece because we have so much wood and logs around here.
Welcome Back Anita, your tablescape looks BEAUTIFUL!! Martina
Gorgeous setting for your beautiful table, Anita! The candle holders are fabulous.
Anita, it's so good to see you back with us if only once in a while. One of these days I'll photograph my extensive collection of Ivy for you to see. I really want to do that for you. I LOVE the tables you create with Ivy, they're gorgeous! Lucy would be so proud, too.
Stay in touch. I'll be praying for you and your family as you embark on new work for our Lord.
Hugs,
Susan
HI Anita!!! I have missed you! The outreach program sounds great!!!! I think it is horrible that we have HOMELESS veterans in this country! Now, your table looks gorgeous! I love, love the natural candle holders! Are they real logs too???? Did you make that???? I just love it. Your yard looks exactly like ours! It IS wonderful to be able to sit out on our deck for dinner and enjoy the sights and sounds!!!! Come on over for a visit to my blog sometime. XO, Pinky

Hi Anita, I missed this post. I have been checking your blog and knew you were very busy and hoping you would continue to bless us all with your posts. I will pray for your new ministry and those you serve. I love the green and nature inspired table top. The Mikasa is so nice with the Ivy and rich paisley napkins. You have a wonderful dining space with the trees as your decor! Take care and I also left some thoughts on your latest post. Blessings, Emelia.
Well, I feel like a nut.
I honestly didn't see this post so when you posted about your power outage, I thought that you hadn't posted it. I'm feeling kind of blond right now…
I love this, and I do remember the log centerpiece. I loved it then and now. The setting outside is the perfect backdrop to the setting of the table.
I have missed you and am glad that you're nearly back to normal.
Beautiful! I love seeing your outdoor settings and of course the way you always make the Ivy dishes look so enchanting! I have missed seeing your beautiful scapes but certainly understand your priorities. What a wonderful mission! Sorry to hear about the storm but am glad you all are well!
Your table is gorgeous, as usual. Love the ivy Franciscan paired with the Italian Countryside and those great green goblets. I love your napkins and how they really make the whole table pop.
I love your tablescape, it really compliments the view! So beautiful and natural. Gorgeous!
