Merry Christmas everyone!
I know you are probably tired of seeing “the box” but I am still really enjoying using it in different ways. Here is the table setting we had for Christmas…
Once again I used the J & G Meakin “Romantic England” with a Mikasa “Italian Countryside” charger, and Wallace “Louvre” sterling flatware. I added the Noritake “Perspective” water glasses and compotes my mom gave me. We used the compote for a delicious fruit trifle dessert.
I changed out the greenery in the box and opted for sparkly fruit, pine cones, and sprigs of cedar, white pine and boxwood tucked in. I also added some cinnamon sticks. I actually lowered all the candles. There were two layers of styrofoam inside, so I took one out for this arrangement.
I have really enjoyed it this way, and it can stay like this for a while during the winter. It will be very easy to tuck in fresh greenery as needed.
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day with services at church, then dinner here with my parents. My brother and sister-in-law came Monday and spent a couple days here, so my parents had everyone here. We had a light snow last night, so that really topped off a nice holiday.
We are still enjoying Christmas and look forward to “Three Kings Day” January 6th.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Beautiful as always Anita!
No, I don't get tired of seeing how you accessorize the box!
Your red table is stunning.
Happy New Year, Anita.
Gorgeous table and I LOVED the way you used the box for your centerpiece. I have a similar piece that holds candles but now have a new great idea for repurposing. Happy New Year

A beautiful table, and I love the arrangements you do in that box. Happy New Year, Anita! Looking forward to a wonderful year ahead. xo
Such a beautiful table and NO, not getting sick of "the box". It looks stunning! Your whole table is beautiful and the red glasses are perfect. Love your runner (as always!)
Your table is simply stunning…love the wreaths on the doors…so beautiful with the table..the centerpiece is just perfect and the transferware soooo lovely.thanks for sharing
I think it's a great idea to keep the box filled with greens all winter. And then you can do something with it for the spring too. I don't think I'll get tired of the box for quite some time.
Anita, your table is gorgeous! I have loved seeing all the different ways you've decorated "the box"! I especially love your red glassware. I wish I had the smaller stems to match my red water glasses.
I'm so glad you've gotten a lot of use out of your centerpiece box. The red glassware looks wonderful in the sunlight. We're still celebrating Christmas as well!
Oh, my! I like so many, many things in your post! First, your table is gorgeous. I also like that you don't have a rug under it. I know it's a personal peeve of mine, but I can't stand it when chairs don't slide well because of the carpet underneath.
I love your centerpiece and the fact that you used fresh greenery. I know that sometimes, we must improvise, but it's so wonderful when we can use the real thing.
Your transferware dishes are perfect for this setting, too.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you many blessings for the coming year!
I love the box and how you filled it. I love the whole table, so pretty as usual, Anita. I hope you all have a Happy New Year!…Christine
I love everything about your table. It is absolutely gorgeous with the red transfer ware and goblets. Your centerpiece is perfect!
Happy New Year!
Dear Anita, May you have a wonderful new year!

Anita, Transfer ware is beautiful for so many holidays, but especially for Christmas. Your centerpiece box is inspired and can be used throughout the year. I may have to copycat your idea. Thanks for sharing! ~CJ
Yet again, the sunlight plays such an important part in your gorgeous tablescape…the red glass dances. I love using the candied fruit every year, too. Easy and has a grand effect. You may use that wonderful box all the time as far as I'm concerned. I adore the way that it works on your table. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Happy New Year! Cherry Kay
I really want that box! This setting is amazing with the fruit, greenery and candles. I love this with the transferware dishes. All so very pretty. Wishing you warmth, good cheer and many, many blessings in the new year.

Nice articles. I'm just blogwalking and very happy to stop here. And also give you some comment here.
Dont forget to give us some your comment into my blog too.
Okay, my dear, your Christmas table is stunning. Red is good for me year-round. Secondly, thanks for giving me your camera opinion. Canon has a couple more votes, than Nikon. I really don't mind reading manuals. I guess I'll be doing some more investigating.
Never tired of the box! I don't know how I missed this post, I just love your addition of the beaded and sugared fruits and cinnamon sticks, it's really lovely. Enjoy the remainder of your holidays!
