Hi everyone!
I wanted to share a very simple and rustic table for Easter.
I used the vintage Noritake “Condoro” china my mom gave me along with Oneida “Golden Julliard” stainless flatware and American Stemware glasses.
I filled the box with four birch logs holding votive candles and three mason jars filled with lilacs.
I brought back the matelasse runner…
I also filled the box with burlap to soften the hard edges.
This is such a simple tablesetting but I love the combination of fine china and crystal with the rustic elements of the wood chargers, bamboo napkin rings, burlap and wood.
I have to say a big thank you to my new followers and also to those of you who have left such nice comments. We have been swamped with recording, Easter preparations, children home on spring break, and 7 baby chicks! Plus, I have been designing and making a line of vintage-inspired ruffly aprons, table runners and pillows I will have for sale soon. Needless to say everything is kind of crazy here! I do appreciate each and every one of you and I wish you the best Easter ever:-)

Beautiful table. Love the china and centerpiece.
Hi, Anita! Wow…very, very, very pretty! I love the combination of elements. That always makes for such a great table because there are so many unexpected pieces that complement one another. You did a magnificent job of that here! I have a long wooden box that I have been reluctant to use as a centerpiece, but seeing yours makes me want to at least give it a try. Filling it with burlap to soften it and add another dimension of texture was a wonderful idea! I love those birch logs…somebody's birch tree is in grave danger around here! 🙂 Have a wonderful Easter weekend, and best wishes to you as you work on your new line of aprons and other home accessories!
Good morning Anita, I love your idea for the rustic and elegant. It turned out wonderful. And how can you go wrong with glass jars, flowers, wood…it is lovely. I'm your newest follower, on Pinterest too. I see that you like Melmac, I love it too and have collected a lot of pink…would like more pieces too. Lovely blog.
Have a blessed Easter.

Isn't is amazing that we had lilacs in time for Easter? I picked a bouquet for the living room and I smile each time I catch the scent. I imagine that your guests for Easter dinner were doing a lot of the same thing: smiling! Simply stunning, once again!

Anita, I luvvvvv lilacs. One of my favorites and we had a super year for them to enjoy. They bloomed about a month early and took me by surprise. Your table setting is lovely and the table runner so very pretty. Dishes and all, beautiful. Hope you had a blessed easter.

I've just found your blog and I LOVE what I see! I'll be back again and again to read all of your posts. Your home is wonderful – so warm and inviting – and I love the way you put the rustic and elegant together. My nineteen-sixties vintage ranch-style home has much the same layout as your living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway but it is not open. I've dreamed of remodeling and opening up the kitchen – now I know that's REALLY what I want. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love your table setting. Burlap is great and so are lilac's.I would have trouble finding birch wood, these day around here. I am seeing less and less of these gorgeous trees. My favorite picture is from a distance where it's easy to see just how large it is. You did a fabulous job !!! beautiful table!
