I really wanted to do a *real* post — you know, some kind of decor thing, and I have plenty of little projects going on, but we got our first “real” snow of the season, and I ended up outside with the kids and my dad:-)
This was our first deep, beautiful snow of the season and one I really was not expecting when I woke up this morning.
It’s the kind of snow that silences everything — except the rushing creek and the isolated chirping of a hungry bird. It’s the kind I love to walk around in.
This old cellar and smokehouse have certainly seen a lot of snows over the last 100 years.
The kids could not wait to get out on the trails after they tired of sledding.
This is a lot more fun than being cooped up inside anyway:-)
But it only took the *mention* of hot chocolate to get everyone headed back home.
It looks like we’ll be doing the same thing the next few days as the weather forecast is on repeat mode.
Stay safe and warm wherever you are:-)
I’ll be joining:
It's a winter wonderland ~ just lovely. Enjoy!
Looks like snowshoeing time! Lovely photos?
Very nice photos, beautiful scenery.
Just like a picture Postcard!!! Beautiful …..
Your pictures look just like a Christmas card, absolutely gorgeous! Here in my neck of the woods in Alabama we were promised snow but it ended up just being cold, nasty, icky rain!
