This is the last of the summer porch posts as I’m sharing the side porch with y’all today:-)
This is one of my favorite spots, and I so enjoy having my grandmother’s iron patio set here.
It really is a great spot for morning coffee. A “Lochs of Scotland” coffee pot keeps my coffee warm, and classic “Blue Willow” completes the blue and white theme.
I fell in love with the tropical print of these “Whippoorwill” napkins at World Market. They also wash really well and don’t need ironing, so they are great for everyday.
This is the view off this porch looking toward our creek.
I love this creek, and remember so fondly listening to it, as I went to sleep, through the open windows of my grandparents’ house when I was a child.
Many childhood summer days, I pretended to be Laura Ingalls Wilder in this creek — barefoot and complete with an old dress my grandmother altered for me to wear:-)
Off the other side of this porch, is a little shade garden.
Yes, this is a favorite spot, and I feel so blessed to be the caretaker of it:-)
You can check out the other two porches HERE andHERE.
I am also super excited that Country Living Magazine featured my front porch on their website! You can see the article HERE.
Thanks for stopping by:-)

Just gorgeous. I'll be over for coffee in the morning.
Anita, I think this is one of my all time favorite posts of yours!! I would love to have your creek running beside my home just like yours! It's beautiful and do I see 2 concrete chairs on the bank? Peaceful is exactly what you have and I know you cherish it every day. God is so good and the Maker of all of this beauty.
Beautiful! I love how you & your family are honoring & preserving your family's heritage. What a blessing it is to be able to see these pictures of your nurturing & loving this beautiful land 🙂
Congratulations!!!! I totally love this porch, so beautiful.
Your Grandmother's iron set reminds me of the turn of the century (1900s) when the ladies would have tea in the garden. What a restful place to see the beauty of nature. Kathleen in Az
