Thanksgiving table inspiration

I love Thanksgiving. As excited as I get about Christmas, I love Thanksgiving, and have enjoyed hosting it here the last few years. If you also host and are looking for Thanksgiving table setting ideas, you have come to the right place:-)

I gathered up some of my favorite Thanksgiving tables to show that you can set a beautiful table for Thanksgiving on any budget.

This centerpiece is simply an old board layered with cedar, pine cones, hydrangeas and pumpkins.

Silver-plated sugar bowls, etc., hold different sized candles surrounded with coffee beans.

I set this table two ways, and you can see the video to check out how I set a low-budget version.

Here is another really simple setting using the same board and silver with sheet music leaves and apples.

Sheet music placemats and a simple setting let the centerpiece shine.

Of course the *box* seems to be more popular every year on social media and pinterest, probably because it’s such an easy centerpiece and has so many possibilities.

You can fill it with pretty much anything and not go wrong.

I used floral foam as a base in this box and attached wood skewers to the pine cones, hydrangeas and pumpkins so everything would stay in place.

I love to add something special at every place setting, and simply added a pumpkin and leaf to this berry bowl.

Of course, nature can make the best backdrop for Thanksgiving if it’s warm enough in your area.

Last year, I went with red, white and plaid and created a simple and elegant table using apples and magnolia for the accents.

And here is a sneak peek of this year’s table, which I’ll reveal Monday.

I enjoy trying something different every year, and usually end up borrowing vintage china from my mom. This year is no exception, and when I saw the Noritake Chandova, I knew it was perfect for this year’s Thanksgiving and couldn’t wait to pull out that little pop of hot pink as an accent:-)

You can find links to all these tablescapes and more over on the Tablescapes page. Just scroll down to find Fall and Thanksgiving tables at the bottom.

What a beautiful post, Anita. I'm so inspired by all your lovely table settings. It just so happens that I'm going thrifting with both my daughters today for interesting holiday tableware, and your video was just what I needed to open my mind to the all the possibilities waiting out there! I'll be watching for punch cups – I just love the way you used them in the video.

All these tables are beautiful but I think my favorite is last year's red white and plaid table!

How right you are about a box serving as such a wonderful ground for a centerpiece. As I'm sure so many others have told you, your blog is quite wonderful, so full of inspiration. Thank you.
