January

It certainly seems like forever since I last posted on Christmas Eve.

Things were getting back to normal when this snow storm hit. We have been here since Tuesday night, but it’s been great to have the kids home from school and just enjoy being home.

These are a few photos my husband shot around the house. And these were all shot with the Nikon D-5100 and the kit lens. Seriously. It’s the photographer — not the equipment:-)

We definitely made up for the lack of snow and cold in December with below freezing temps and plenty of snow this month.

There is nothing I love more than the quiet of falling snow.

I had been patiently waiting for snow so I could finish up some 2016 Christmas photos for a magazine — particularly the porch, which I never even shot in December. This is the longest I have ever had Christmas decor up, and I am beyond anxious to get it packed away. I’ve cut so much greenery around the yard, the trees are bare. Here is a peek. I actually can’t share any of the photos I am submitting, but will be excited to see them sometime in November.

I hope you are all staying warm and safe. I know we are ready to dig out:-)

Luis takes some beautiful photos of the scenery in your area, Anita. The snow looks pretty on your porch with the bright pink touches to your Christmas decor. You must be relieved to get Christmas put away! Congratulations on the magazine photo shoot! Pam

Thanks Pam!! I have most of it packed away, but still need to shoot the master bedroom. Can't wait until it's all up!

Glad you checked in. I was starting to worry. Your porch looks beautiful. The snow also looks beautiful, but I'm glad to be living in Phoenix this time of year.

Gorgeous photos of the snow, Anita!! I agree with you about the quiet of a falling snow. We were glad to see it here, as well. 🙂 Your Christmas porch looks so pretty — look forward to seeing the rest in November.
