I snapped a few photos of the back porch to share with y’all.
As with the front and side porches, I changed up the fabrics and really made a difference in the look. I added lots of hot pink and black and white prints along with more of the Waverly Wailea Coast Ebony that I love so much.
Vintage silk sarees are perfect for draping around to add a pop of color and softness, and this one is layered on this little bar, which is perfect for serving and seating.
This is the JC Penney pot rack that was so popular in my master bath years ago. I put it here about three years ago, and it’s a great place to accessorize and hold extra candles, etc.
On the couch, I made a slipcover for the bottom cushions and recovered the back pillows in a striped outdoor fabric.
I bought this plaid seersucker fabric at Walmart a few years ago and planned to make napkins but never did. It’s made really cute pillows:-)
We sure love this space and the quiet, peaceful atmosphere here — accented only by the mountain creek and the singing birds. This area is a temperate rain forest, and after the drought we experienced early summer, we are happily getting those late afternoon showers that I love so much.
And that makes all the work getting it ready — worth it.
I’ll be joining:
A wonderful exotic place to snooze away with the sound of your creek and the birds. Yes, it does look like a rain forest:).
