It’s no secret I am in love with kilim pillows. I think it goes back to when I started collecting Native American art and found, on a trip to Turkey, that the geometric tribal designs there were very similar to Native designs, or at least they coordinated really well with Native art.
I strayed away from the art I love for a few years because it wasn’t “in style,” but rekindled that passion last year, so I have been adding to my decor more kilim accessories that coordinate with the current colors I’m using, and seriously hit the jackpot with The Kilim Pillow Store. They provided me with a couple pillows last fall, but when I found out they have the best prices anywhere for authentic kilim pillow covers, I knew I had found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and have since bought several more. So, this is not a sponsored post, I just love this store.
I went through their clearance inventory last week and ordered four new ones as they were $14. Seriously, $14 for kilims directly from the source? Um, yes. And y’all know I love to support independent, small businesses instead of the big retailers any day.
On to the pillows…I chose two of these brown-striped pillow covers because I loved the colors — hot pink and orange, and knew they would be fabulous for fall and coordinate with just about anything.
I have mentioned this before, but I personally love the option to pick pillow covers from the same kilim, and love even more when they are pieced together.
The pink ones are some I bought last winter after they had sent me the first one. I can never have enough pink ones:-)
These are SO well made with a zipper in the back. I bought kilim pillow covers from a couple other resources before I found these guys, and they were definitely not the quality of these.
Obviously, I am choosing styles and colors specific to my decor, but they have so many options in color, pattern and style.
I do love these and love working with the owner there. They ship in two to three days, and shipping costs are really reasonable. I highly recommend purchasing from The Kilim Pillow Store and spicing up things in your home, because they have a style and pattern to go with pretty much any decor.
On a side note, you can see I did a little rearranging, and I am liking how that has opened up my living space. The moroccan rug will be going somewhere else, and I have that spot reserved for something spectacular coming my way soon:-)

Beautiful living room, so cozy and inviting. The new pillows are lovely; but I'm crazy about the coffee table, the bottom is amazing and so unusual!!

Thanks Fabby!! My dad and I made the table from an old wagon wheel and he welded the base.
what a great room. i love how pink is your accent, and makes such a statement, but it's really just a few pillows and a blanket.
