I’m a big fan of the tiered tray, so when I could not find exactly what I wanted, I made my own.
I started with a wood charger, to which I hot glued a resin candlestick.
I painted it with gold spray paint, then sprayed on a clear coat, since I knew I would be putting fruit directly onto the surface.
I then simply stacked the wood charger on top of a plastic tray, which I also painted and sealed, then stacked a wood bowl on top. Voila, so easy:-)
I left it in three separate pieces to have more variety for use.
I used it at Christmas with different fruits, pine cones, and greenery.
I use it last fall with different fruits.
This fall, I wanted something smaller in scale, so I stacked three different colors of iridescent depression glass pieces together, and I love this option as well.
Making your own is so easy and much less expensive than buying one already in one piece. Do a little shopping around your house, and I’m sure you will find three pieces you can put together for your own version.
Be sure to come back tomorrow as my fall home tour will be one stop onEclectically Fall Home Tours! I’m so excited to be part of this tour, so come on back:-)
I’ll be joining the Tiered Tray Extravaganza at Thoughts of Home
