While I was changing out flower arrangements and fall leaves at Balsam Mountain Preserve, I decided to set a table for two out on the porch at the Boarding House.
Everything has been just gorgeous here this week, and definitely the peak for leaf viewing.
I went with a simple setting since you can’t compete with the scenery here:-)
I found the beaded placemats at Pier 1, and thought they would be perfect here to add a little bling, but not too sparkly.
Mikasa “Italian Countryside” square plates have been my go-to this season as well, combined with “Italian Countryside” flatware, and Fostoria “Argus” iced tea glasses.
The napkins are part of the “succulent” collection of table linens at World Market, and I also bought the runner — which y’all know I never get anything matching, but just could not resist.
Isn’t this a glorious place to dine?
It should be obvious why I love the opportunity for freelance design work here:-)
Love your table setting. It's simple and elegant. And that view!! I would also love to smell that fresh mountain air.

Your view is gorgeous! And your table setting is very nice, too.
Oh how I would love to sit there and enjoy the Autumnal view. The table setting is perfect and I love the green jar with the Fall leaves.
