I had so much fun creating some seasonal decor at Balsam Mountain Preserve again this year and wanted to share what I did at the Boarding House.
Balsam Mountain Preserveis an exclusive mountain community with a focus on the environment and a strong commitment to nature, so naturally (ha), I wanted to stick to natural and organic elements.
I headed to Darnell Farms in Bryson City, NC, for an incredibly huge assortment of gourds and pumpkins to accessorize with.
I tried to stick with larger varieties as opposed to last year, and I like the overall look everything has.
Instead of mums, I used Croton plants for color, as they will last much longer and are not so ordinary.
I ripped strips of fabric to make my bows then tied everything together with raffia.
