Hello friends!! Summer is definitely in full swing, and the harvest season has begun. I’m busy making all the squash and zucchini recipes and eating lots of fresh green beans as well. I’m going to share all those soon in videos and blog posts. Tomatoes will be in soon, and corn probably ready to harvest next week. It’s amazing how fast things grow!
I also found some time to make a few summer aprons to finish off this season before starting on a fabulous fall collection for my online shop, Knight’ Store. Many had asked for more table runners, ticking stripe pillow shams, and farmhouse aprons, so I’m already working on those. I posted these summer aprons last week and only have three left, but wanted to share with you all here.
I had several pieces of black floral fabric, and this sweet creation paired the floral with green gingham and grandmother’s vintage lace and ribbon trim. It has already sold, but I can always do more of this style with different fabric.
I thought this bold floral was just fabulous for that “Lucy Ricardo in the kitchen look” and would be great either working in the kitchen, or serving an elegant meal. I loved getting a chance to get out my vintage Mirro coffee pot and Franciscan Ivy, just like Lucy had on the show.
I decided to use this border print cotton in the wrap-tie style. I love these aprons, and the wrap-tie is so versatile. I have this in a LG/XL and S/M, and without pockets to show the beautiful print. A pocket could be added if desired, but I personally don’t use the pockets in my aprons.
This style is meant to wrap all the way around with long ties.
I have some really exciting things planned for fall and Christmas season, so please let me know if there is something specific you’d like to see.
Be sure to visit Knight’s Store to browse what is left and pick up one of these elegant aprons for yourself or for a gift. It’s never too early to start Christmas shopping!
