Simple Thanksgiving Table

Hello friends! I’m popping in to share an easy and elegant Thanksgiving table you can do even if you don’t have a lot of time! It seems like November has been shorter than ever, and quite honestly, I’m feeling behind.

Even so, that doesn’t mean we can’t have a pretty Thanksgiving table, so I’m going to show you how I put this together in not a lot of time.

I could not decide what to do for a centerpiece, but one of my choir members asked for some of the wood boxes we make, and after I got them made, I decided to use one for this table.

This is such an impactful centerpiece yet still simple and one that can be moved if you wanted to serve food on the table. I placed aluminum bread pans filled with wet floral foam inside the box and added a variety of clippings from the property.

For china, I really wanted to use my antique flow blue, and since I only have six dinner plates, I will serve dessert and coffee on a different set brought out after the dinner plates are cleared away.

I have two of these Podmore Walker Temple dinner plates, so they went on each end.

The flatware is a vintage set of Golden Scroll, Americana Golden Heritage by International Silver. The napkins are some we use for everyday, but I loved the autumnal colors and wanted to keep all warm tones in the rest of the setting so the flow blue is really the star of this show.

The other four plates are Grecian Statue by Brownfield Pottery. I also placed individual salt and pepper shakers at each setting because y’all know I don’t like for anyone to have to pass anything.  I will probably add a bread plate, though, in a simple cream Wedgewood pattern.

The glassware is from Pier1 probably 15 years ago. The color is just perfect for this setting.

Y’all do know how I love a fancy and elaborate table setting, but I just felt like doing something much simpler, but still elegant and I love how this turned out.

You can see all the behind the scenes in the video below, and I’ll also link below the first Thanksgiving table settings I did for the blog years ago:-)

While I love to set a pretty table, and Thanksgiving is such a great opportunity for that, we all know it’s not about the table or even the food, but about being thankful and expressing gratitude for the many blessings we have.

And I am certainly thankful for each and every one of you all who come by faithfully to leave comments and support my blog, channel and small online store. You are blessings to me!

Happy Thanksgiving friends!

Simply gorgeous…I’m using all my blue everyday plates because we are doing buffet. That gives everyone a choice to spread out a bit! Hugs, and have a Happy Thanksgiving! Sandi

I love your Thanksgiving table and love the Flow Blue plates. They remind me of my Aunt, who had quite a few settings. Also the personal salt and pepper shakers. Perfection, as all of it is, and your center piece to Die for!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you from Wisconsin.

Oh Anita, at last a real Victorian country home! This is my style and I can never find decor that embraces color, warmth and cozy wood tones. Everything today is trendy grey, white, shiplapped and painted distressed furniture. Please keep embracing the beauty of those bygone days and cherishing those family items. I have 7 oil lamps, some on the wall and just love their glow. Also the glow of candlelight is comforting. A beautiful inviting home. . Please keep sharing your lovely Victorian county home. Blessings to you and family ❤

Oh thank you so much for sharing that Anne!! Your home sounds absolutely fabulous, and I have to say I do have some friends I follow on Instagram who are young people living in Victorians, and they are embracing that authentic style which is so refreshing and I hope it trends☺️☺️
