Simple, Elegant Easter tablescape

Hello friends! I really wanted to post a tablescape before Easter, but it’s such a busy time for us at church, that I didn’t get a chance. So, I decided to go ahead and post our Easter table now as it would work equally well for Mother’s Day, or any other Spring/Summer special occasion.

I wanted something simple but elegant and chose the 1921 inherited Noritake “Chandova,” which is a favorite of mine.  (If you follow, you’ll see pieces of it around my kitchen all year long.) I added a Mikasa “Italian Countryside” dinner plate as a charger, Oneida “Golden Julliard” flatware, Cristal-D’arque Durand crystal, and napkins from World Market years ago.

For a centerpiece, I cut dogwood branches, my red azaleas, daddy’s snowball blooms and euonymus from the garden.

I made the runner years ago from a discounted fabric remnant, and love how it pulls everything together. Grandmother Isabelle’s brass candle holders are the same ones she let me set the table with when I was a child❤️

I’m loving a red and yellow combo this spring and plan to carry it on through summer – we’ll see🙂

I hung up the beautiful red floral lined pinch-pleated drapes mother made back in the late 70s. They hung in our dining room, and I always loved this fabric. So happy I get to have them in my own home now.

We had a wonderful day with our church family then with family later at home, and these are certainly moments I treasure. We do not have one minute guaranteed, so make sure you savor the every day moments you have with the special people in your lives friends❤️

Thanks for stopping by!!

Anita

Sounds like you had a wonderful Easter!! I, too, love red and yellow. However, many years ago you got me into a pink mood so this spring/summer we are pink carpets and throw pillows and other little pink accessories dotted here and there! I love Easter and it seemed very special this year. As always, your table is stunning, and your flower arrangements are just beautiful!! Happy Spring, friend!

Thank you my friend🙂 I really never thought I’d use red and yellow any time soon, so who knows maybe some pink for summer😁🧐
